shots South Africa edition


Advertising magazine shots released regular country-specific editions looking into the trends, challenges and people that make up the local ad scene and its fringes. In 2018, I was sent to South Africa on a 3-week press trip to speak with the creatives responsible for its colourful culture and understand how things had changed since the region was last profiled.

As well as attending The Loeries as a media representative - an award show celebrating cutting-edge work hailing from Africa and the Middle East - I kept my ear to the ground to connect with new thinkers, entrepreneurial brands and innovative creatives. Travelling between Jo'Burg and Durban, dancefloors and deserts, it was a wonderful trip and a lesson in following my nose to get to the heart of a story.
